The Skillet Doctor cares about your cast iron cookware! We can help you re-season and renew your existing rusted or poorly seasoned cast iron cookware to revitalize and preserve it for generations to come. Even if you think your rusted skillets or dutch ovens are beyond repair The Skillet Doctor can help! Sometimes, even The Skillet Doctor cannot save your cast iron cookware, but he'll try! Sorry, WE DO NOT SERVICE ENAMELED CAST IRON PRODUCTS SUCH AS LE CREUSET SKILLETS.
The service was started in 2009 by Seth Affoumado. We have restored cast iron skillets and dutch ovens for may satisfied clients. There are many methods to re-seasoning cast iron cookware. We currently use the "Crisco" method for re-seasoning skillets. "We've used flax seed oil, lard and olive oil but find Crisco to work the best!"

"The ONLY way to cook the BEST food in the world is on one of Seth's iron skillets. I have been using them for 60 years. A very grateful customer. Thank you Seth" - Jim Avila
"I thought the skillet I gave The Skillet Doctor to re-season was a lost cause. However, I was pleasantly surprised when he delivered the 50 year old re-seasoned skillet looking like it did when my mom used it all those years ago!"

"If you own cast iron pans, ya gotta know Seth" C.D. Miller
"You did an extraordinary job bringing my skillets back to life! I am so grateful that these family heirlooms are back in service. My 2 cast iron pans were passed down to me through family as gifts. For years they sat in the back of my kitchen cabinet rusted and unused. Now that I am cooking at home more, I decided to revive them and try new recipes. Not only did you do an amazing job restoring my pans, you've given me knowledge and resources so that I can care for them myself in the future. Thank you for your professionalism, timeliness and high quality work!" M. Kelso
